Research Interests
I am broadly interested in biogeography and evolution, particularly in the mechanisms that allow plants to survive in diverse environments. I am especially curious about how anatomical and morphological traits shape species distributions, specifically emphasizing characteristics of wood anatomy. I aim to explore the role of woodiness in herbaceous plants, its potential adaptive significance, and how woodiness contributes to where species occur. Specifically, I study the North American clade of Delphinium.
